The HIRIKO prototype is now in Vitoria-Gasteiz
27-04-2010The prototype developed by the M.I.T. Media Lab team, led by Ryan Chin, Will Lark and Raul Poblano, is now in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Coinciding with its public presentation in the latest edition of the “Campus Party Europe” held in Madrid between April 15th and 17th, and was the first meetings of the team that is going to develop the technical project as a whole, held in the Epsilon Euskadi installations in the Alava Technological Park (Miñano – Vitoria-Gasteiz), the prototype will be used not only as a presentation of the project but also of the work of the engineers participating in these workshops.
The 1:2-scale prototype, with dimensions measuring 75 cm x 60 cm x 45 cm, can be folded and can also move thanks to the technology developed and implanted in its robotic four-wheel-drive system. Also, together with the prototype there is a real-size representation of a “robotic wheel”, with all the necessary devices for it to be put to work.
With these prototypes, the teams of engineers from all the companies that participate in the project will be working over the next few days in the specific and complete development of the HIRIKO technical project, in the Epsilon Euskadi installations together with the Epsilon engineers and the Denokinn technical leadership
