HIRIKO at “Euskal Hiria” congress about new sustainables cities
18-11-2010Iñigo Antia, Director of HIRIKO project that is under development in Alava together with companies from Guipuzcoa and Alava, calls for a change in habits and civic manners in order to develop more humane and livable cities in which the vehicle will be used as a complement to public transport.
This is what he put forward at the IX Euskal Hiria Congress that is taking place from Monday at Kursaal Palace in San Sebastian. Iñigo Antia dedicated his speech, early yesterday afternoon, to sustainability and mobility topics.
Pilar Unzalu, Basque Government Environment Councillor, opened the symposium at ten in the morning. Throughout the debates, topics related to innovative cities, housing strategy, railway, metropolitan mobility or the case of Munich in sustainable transformation rose.
